The 2011 Gator Bowl will be held on January 1, 2011 at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.

The Gator Bowl which is the annual match-up between the third place team of the Atlantic Coast Conference against a team from the Big East, Big 12, or the Fighting Irish from Notre Dame.

In the past the Gator Bowl's main sponsors have included Mazda and most recently Toyota however, as of this writing no title sponsor has been announced for the 2011 Gator Bowl.

Gator Bowl Information

Since 1946 when South Carolina was defeated By Wake Forest, the Gator Bowl has been one of the highlights of the College Bowl season. Now, in its 2nd year of play the Gator Bowl is played at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.

Jacksonville Municipal Stadium is a 73,000-seat venue that is also home to the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL, but capacity is ramped up by more than 11,000 for the annual Gator Bowl.
