The National Finals Rodeo is held each year in December. This is the 30th year the event will be held in Las Vegas!
The NFR plays host to not only the best Bull Riders and Cowboys but also to the biggest names in Country Music. The 10 days that the National Finals Rodeo rides into town are some of the busiest in the Las Vegas year.
The World Series of Rodeo or the Super Bowl of Rodeo, as the National Rodeo Finals is sometimes called, showcases the best and top winning competitors in a series of events ranging from bull riding to bareback riding. In each of the recognized rodeo events the top 15 competitors in the country will have the chance to compete for the gold (or in rodeo terms, the Gold Buckle).
Each year the National Finals Rodeo draws thousands upon thousands of fans to the city, and is hosted by the Thomas & Mack Center on the University of Las Vegas's main campus. The Thomas & Mack Center which can seat just over 18,000 people for the National Finals Rodeo is often filled to capacity every night during the early December run of the Rodeo.
The Thomas & Mack Center is a relatively small venue and generally only about 40,000 tickets for the National Rodeo Finals are distributed to the general public. Because of this, each year fans have to resort to watching the competition on television, so act today so you can actually sit in the Thomas & Mack Center and watch the 2013 National Finals Rodeo live and in person!
