Since 1935 the Orange Bowl has been a staple of the Miami area.

The Orange Bowl is an annual match-up between two of the best college football teams in the nation and follows the BCS Bowl Selection process.

In the past, teams that have made appearances in the Orange Bowl include: Stanford, Virginia Tech, Louisville, USC, Michigan and many other championship caliber college football teams.

The Orange Bowl, played in SunLife (Dolphin) Stadium, hosts more than 76,000 ticket bearing college football fans each year since the game was moved to the stadium in 1996.

Before being hosted by Dolphin Stadium, the Orange Bowl was played annually at the appropriately named Miami Orange Bowl, a 72,000+ capacity stadium that was built in 1937.
