The 2009 Indianapolis 500 will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana. Race time is 1:00pm.

The first Indianapolis 500 was held in 1911. The race consists of 200 laps totalling 500 miles on the 2.5 mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway track.
