The PNC Bank Arts Center, located in Holmdel Township, New Jersey, is one of America's best amphitheaters. The center has a capacity of 17,000 people and a stunning grass area that can hold up to 10,500 people. The Garden State Arts Center was the original name for the Amphitheatre. Edward Durell Stone, a prominent modernist architect, created the amphitheatre, which had open sides topped by a 200-foot (61 m) saucer-like canopy supported by eight huge concrete pillars.
